About me

Hello! My name is Jackie Senerchia and I am a 1st grade bilingual teacher. I have taught for 4 years (3 years in kindergarten and 1 in first) at Joy James Elementary. I have been married for 14 years (yes, since I was 18 years-old, so I'm sure you can do the math) to my wonderful husband, Mister. I was active duty Air Force for 4 years working as an Engineering Apprentice and I have been in the reserves the last 10 years. I have two very spirited and lovely children L, 7 year old boy and E, 5 year old girl.

I graduated from the University of North Texas with an emphasis in Bilingual Education. Now the bilingual program that my school uses is called the Gomez-Gomez model. It basically means that I teach all of the subjects except for math in Spanish. Of course there are a few other procedures and requirements to the program but thats the main gist.

I love to teach and it has really become my passion. Just like every other teacher, lol.  I am starting my Masters program in the fall for Library Science and I am super excited.
I love to do things with my family, we love to travel and try new things. I love to read, watch movies, and go for runs. I look forward to sharing any Ahas! along the way.
